In Part One
I showed you how to create a ‘Woodsy’ background
for a Postcard-Sized DIY Invitation.

Completed Part One

Completed Part One

I made it as detailed as possible
so that you would feel comfortable if you wanted to create
a different themed background.

So, how did you go?

.

Now it’s time for Part Two
– creating a white overlay to create the completed background,
ready to add text and graphics – the absolute best bit of creating the invitation

.

Part Two - White overlay over woodsy background

Part Two – White overlay
onto woodsy background
(Part One)

Are you ready to rock and roll?
Here we go . . . .

.

Part Two.

Now VERY importantly – don’t forget to SAVE this to your desktop,
ready for the final stage – Part Three.

If you have forgotten how to save your background,
go to my instructions here.

.

And, if you do create an invitation yourself – show it off!
Upload a copy in the ‘Comments’ or link to your own blog.

I’d LOVE to see your efforts.
Truly.

I have a serious weakness for Fonts and Graphic Design.
In another Universe I am a Graphic Designer,
I’m sure of it.

So I am constantly designing and creating graphic invitations.
My previous computer was chock-a-block FULL of graphic designs. I mean literally!
I had to get a second computer, as I filled the hard drive of my first one.

But that is all beside the point : )

So I’ve been playing on PicMonkey
– a free online photo editing software –
to create some Graphic Invitations that I could share with you guys . .
. . . that you can utilise to make your very own Graphic Invitations.

Original Vs. Mine

.

After a bit of playing around I replicated the design (as seen on the PicMonkey blog).
I’ve added a couple of my own ‘touches’ to it. But that’s not the good bit.
I have created a super easy tutorial to follow.

This means you can make your very own version
– with all your own details –
and get it printed.

I will be publishing this Tutorial in three stages over the coming week.
