Rustic Chic . . . .
Think of a wedding in an old building; with candles, chandeliers, burlap & calico, succulents in tin cans, wooden signposts, mis-matched crockery, old glass bottles and small bunches of lavender tied with raffia string . . . here’s a visual sample . . .

Imagine a group of wooden tables out on the grass, under the trees with; your grandmother’s linen, lots of lace, cut crystal glassware, candelabras, ivory roses, glass jars with votive candles hung in the trees and a bridal bouquet made from broaches . . . here’s a visual sample . . .

The theme that at another time would be labelled kitsch this wedding trend is now uber cool; a juke box in the corner, cake tins with cherry pies in them, fabric bunting, giant paper flowers, small vases filled with individual flowers . . . here’s a visual sample . . .
Classic Country . . . .
The sounds and smells of the countryside; you need hay bales with wool blankets on top, old baskets full of wildflowers, posies of wheat tied to the seats along the aisle, rusty corrugated tin, cake stands with scones, jam & cream, a horse/cow/dog with a bowtie, old fencing pales as place cards and soft bunting of cheesecloth on the tables. . . . here’s a visual sample . . .
DIY/Handmade . . . .
With personal touches at every turn, this is obviously my favourite wedding theme; tissue pompoms hanging from the rafters, a Photo Booth, fabric flowers in the flowergirls’ hair, flower covered arbour behind the bride and groom, handmade stationery for the ceremony & reception, a simple posie of flowers for the girls, a Thank You sign for the formal photographs. . . . here’s a visual sample . . .
